When adding Invitebot to a server, as most bots do, it asks for permissions to it’s role, which it needs to work properly.
While it is not best to blindly believe bots, and give them any permission they want, they’re probably reasonable, if you trust the developer.
Invitebot needs the permissions below:
- Manage Server
- Manage Roles
- Manage Channels
- Create Invite
- View Audit Log
- Send Messages
- Send Messages in Threads
- Embed Links
- Attach Files
- Add Reactions
- Use Application Commands
and while some are more crucial than others, to not experience any issues you should give it them all.
If you’ve invited the bot, and you’ve received a message telling you Invitebot had insufficient permissions to configure your server, try removing it and adding it back again, making sure the permissions you’re giving it are sufficient.
If you’ve given the bot the aforementioned permissions, and it still gave you that error message, contact the support on the support server
